VR Systems Announces New President
Company’s First Employee Taking on Top Leadership Role

TALLAHASSEE, FL – June 10, 2015 – VR Systems, a leading elections management technology provider, today announced that Mindy Perkins will be assuming the role of President of VR Systems. Ms. Perkins, who has been with the company for 14 years, previously served as Executive Vice President.

The company also announced the retirement of Jane Watson, VR Systems’ founder, who served as its President for 23 years and David Watson.

“VR has grown from an office inside our home to a thriving employee owned company that serves over 95 percent of Florida counties,” said Jane Watson. “Our venture into new markets outside of Florida presents an ideal point to transition the company’s leadership. Mindy and the executive team have a long history with VR and I am confident this transition will be seamless.”

Ms. Perkins was the very first employee hired by the Watsons. She has served as head of customer support, business development and sales. Today VR is a 100 percent employee owned company that provides a range of elections technology products including Voter Focus elections management software, the EViD electronic pollbook and ELM, a web based elections training program.

“My goals moving forward are to continue to promote our company’s core values in everything that we do. Our success is built on integrity, customer service and the desire of all our employees to work for the good of the voter, making elections transparent, efficient and trusted,” said Perkins.

VR, founded in 1992, established a strong Florida client base which expanded rapidly following the passage of HAVA in 2002. VR now serves more than 95 percent of Florida’s counties.

The EViD epollbook, which has been used by jurisdictions in 14 states, was developed in Florida in response to an urgent need created by Hurricane Charley in 2004. EViD was one of the first epollbooks in operation and has evolved through many generations to become one of the most trusted products of its kind used by the elections industry.

“As we continue to grow we embrace what we have achieved in Florida. Our focus will remain on offering the best customer experience and highest quality products in the industry,” added Perkins.
